Who We Are
Waypoint Church will exist to help people find & follow Jesus.
We envision Waypoint Church as a community of ordinary, imperfect people walking together with Jesus. In a world that feels scattered and exhausting, we are searching for a life that holds together—a life with steady ground, clear direction, deep belonging, meaningful purpose, and a growing sense of wholeness and peace.
We believe that kind of life is found in Jesus.
Why the Northwest?
Northwest Las Vegas has grown rapidly in recent years. Communities like Skye Canyon, Providence, and Centennial Hills are now home to tens of thousands of people—but north of the 215 there is only about one Christian church for every 30,000 residents. We believe every community deserves places where people can encounter Jesus, find belonging, and grow in faith. That’s why we’re starting a new church in Northwest Las Vegas.
About the Pastor
Seth Philip and his wife, Megan, are planting Waypoint Church in Northwest Las Vegas. Before moving to Las Vegas, they spent nearly 15 years in Japan helping start new churches and walking alongside people from all kinds of backgrounds as they explored faith.
Now, along with their four kids, they’re glad to call Las Vegas home.
Seth cares deeply about creating a church where anyone can come as they are—whether they’ve followed Jesus for years or aren’t sure what they believe. Waypoint is a place to ask honest questions, build real relationships, and take a next step with Jesus.

Waypoint Church is a new community launching this fall in Northwest Las Vegas—built for people who want a life that actually holds together. Our heart is simple: to create a place where you can explore the way of Jesus at your own pace and take your next step with him.
You’re invited to an Interest Party—a relaxed, low-pressure space to hear the story behind Waypoint, get a clear picture of where we’re headed, and meet some of the people who are already part of it. No expectations. Just a chance to see if this could be a place for you.
Whether you’re new to faith, returning after some time away, or just curious, you’ll fit right in.

Party in the Park

Skye Canyon Park
Join us for a relaxed evening in the park with neighbors, families, and friends from the community. We’ll have yard games, food and drinks, and plenty of space for kids and adults alike to hang out, have fun, and meet new people.This event is completely free, so bring a lawn chair or blanket and come enjoy the evening with us. Whether you’re already connected to Waypoint Church or just curious to meet some new people in the community, this is a simple, no-pressure way to spend a Sunday evening together.
